General Dynamics Buys Jet Aviation for SF2.45 Billion

General Dynamics Corp., maker of the Gulfstream private jet, agreed to buy Jet Aviation Management AG from Permira Advisers LLP for 2.45 billion Swiss francs ($2.23 billion) to expand in support services for business aircraft.

General Dynamics Corp., is also the second-largest shipbuilder for the U.S. Navy. has agreed to pay $4 million to settle a lawsuit claiming a now-closed Long Island unit fraudulently billed the government for Navy aircraft parts that were defective.
